Energy Australia says more work will be carried out today in a bid to stop further power failures in Sydney's CBD.
There has been two major blackouts in the city in the past week.
About 50,000 homes and businesses were affected by yesterday's blackout which lasted for more than an hour.
Energy Australia says workers last night re-routed power to a different sub-station in the city to bolster the electricity network.
Energy Australia's spokeswoman Kylie Yates says the work will continue for the rest of the day.
"We've been working overnight and we'll be working throughout today and tonight to bolster electricity supplies even further," he said.
"Our planners are doing a whole lot of investigations following yesterday's disruptions to help get the electricity network back to full strength."
